Second citizenship

OBTAINING A SECOND CITIZENSHIP

The demand for a second citizenship is only increasing every year. There are several reasons why this is happening: some seek to move to another country in search of stability or new opportunities, others are forced to do this by the tightening of their country's visa regime, the political risks of closing borders.

In the 21st century, people are effectively using multiple citizenship more and more, gaining valuable benefits in
the globalization of their business, travel and more.

Benefits of obtaining a second citizenship:

  • Having a secondary passport enables you to travel visa-free to many countries across the globe. For example, citizens of Portugal can get visa-free (or visa-on-arrival) access to around 172 countries.
  • The right to work in all countries with which your second homeland has signed an agreement. For example, if you have received a passport of Portugal, which is part of the EU, you can work in any country of the European Union.
  • The opportunity to receive education and medical care, work and open your own business both in the country of your citizenship and in the country of your second citizenship, as well as if the second citizenship is obtained in one of the EU countries
  • Possibility to use social guarantees in both countries.
  • Ability to choose citizenship for your children.
